We’re Ben and Louise, the founders of Bouclé!

Originally from Sussex, we started Bouclé in 2019 after a growing interest in natural materials, scent, and a more considered way of making. What began as a small, experimental project alongside freelance design work has since evolved into our full-time focus.

From the beginning, we were drawn to working more slowly and intentionally - creating products that are not only beautiful to use, but made with care for both people and the environment. Much of this came from our experience working within the design industry, where we saw first-hand how fast-paced and wasteful production could be.

Bouclé grew out of a simple starting point: experimenting with pure essential oils and natural waxes to create candles that felt better to burn - both in terms of scent and ingredients. That early curiosity has continued to shape to whole range of natural products we make today.

All of our products are blended, poured, and packed by us in our studio, using 100% natural essential oils and carefully sourced ingredients. Our focus remains the same - to create considered, everyday aromatherapy products that are simple, functional, and quietly effective.

Based in Brighton & London, our work continues to be shaped by a slower pace of life and a connection to our surroundings.

If we’re not in the studio, you’ll most likely find us by the sea, come rain or shine!
